Policies + Procedures

  • All sales are FINAL.  No returns will be accepted either in-store or via our online sales.
  • Our online store will feature an edited collection of items from our shop.  These items will also be available for purchase to our in-store customers.  First come, first served. 
  • Online furniture purchases must be picked up in store.  Shipping is NOT available for these large pieces.
  • Shipping is available for women's clothing and accessories, as well as smaller home accessories within the continental United States.  International shipping is not available at this time. 
  • Delivery of furniture is available in the Chicagoland area for a fee.
  • We do not hold items over the phone for purchase.
  • We do take credit card purchases over the phone.  Please note, these purchases are also final sale.  
  • All items for sale in our shop have been meticulously researched to confirm authenticity.
  • All consignors must make an appointment to have our manager or furniture scout review their items.  Please visit our consignor page to schedule online or call the store at 847.835.0026.  For larger furniture, please email a photo of the piece to contact@northshoreexchange.org for our review prior to making your appointment.
  • All donations receive an IRS donation letter from the North Shore Exchange detailing their donation.  Each donor can value their donation at their own discretion.
