We'd like to introduce you to our partner, Sarah's Circle. We have been proud to provide charitable grant funding to Sarah's Circle since 2018.
Sarah's Circle is a non-profit organization with a mission of serving women who are homeless or in need of a safe space. Located in Chicago's Uptown community, Sarah's Circle has provided support for thousands of women since 1979. Sarah’s Circle provides a full continuum of services for women, including housing, life necessities, and supportive services, to help them permanently end their homelessness. We are inspired by Sarah Circle's vision of "a safe and secure home for every woman in Chicago," and proud to support their work.
Nicole Hayek, Chair of North Shore Exchange's Philanthropy Committee, said "Sarah's Circle works to support the growth of the whole person - with a full continuum of services including education, case management and compassionate support that can help Chicago's most vulnerable women find permanent housing and achieve increased self-sufficiency."
This year, North Shore Exchange's giving focused on the acute needs of hunger, homelessness, health care and abuse - all of which have skyrocketed due to the pandemic. Every charity that receives a grant from North Shore Exchange is extensively vetted for mission alignment, financial soundness and program effectiveness.
We are proud to support many organizations doing important work improving the lives of under-served individuals and communities. Consistent with our mission, North Shore Exchange awards grants to organizations that provide human services and education to children and families in the Midwest experiencing poverty.
