Glencoe, IL -- North Shore Exchange, the nonprofit upscale resale shop, was voted Make It Better's "Best Resale Shop of 2015", the magazine's editors announced Monday .
"This is an incredible honor and we're grateful to everyone who voted," says Wendy Serrino, President, North Shore Exchange. "Our customers, consignors and donors tell us that they appreciate what we uniquely offer: fabulous upscale designer resale finds, and 100% of our profits to charity. This award is such wonderful recognition, and we are so appreciative."
Drawing customers from across the North Shore and Chicago and as far away as California, North Shore Exchange, open since March of 2013, has become a destination for those on the hunt for upscale designer finds at a fraction of their original retail price. North Shore Exchange offers an edited selection of designer women's clothing, handbags, shoes, jewelry and accessories, along with furniture and home décor, all in a beautiful, boutique setting.
All profits from the shop, a philanthropic endeavor by the Woman's Library Club of Glencoe, go to charity. To date, North Shore Exchange has donated $225,000 to area charities supporting children and families with the greatest need, and local social service agency Family Service of Glencoe.
