Position Overview
North Shore Exchange is seeking an experienced and highly organized Store Manager to lead our flagship Glencoe location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in luxury resale, enjoys building relationships with clients and consignors, and can confidently oversee daily retail operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Glencoe retail store
- Deliver exceptional customer and consignor experiences
- Drive sales performance and maintain merchandising standards
- Assist with inventory management, pricing, and product flow
- Maintain strong visual presentation throughout store; assist in stocking, arranging, and displaying merchandise to show, promote and sell in an effective manner.
- Lead, develop, coach, support and mentor Assistant Managers and volunteers to continually enhance their skillsets to drive store success
- Support luxury authentication and quality standards
- Troubleshoot customer service and operational issues professionally and efficiently
- Manage inventory through markdowns to promote sales; removing and replacing unsold inventory; and preparing unsold inventory for transfer to our Warehouse and/or for donation to receiving agencies
- Audit and ensure most expensive merchandise is secured to avoid theft/loss
- Handle and resolve customer/consignor issues in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Review and approve payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing
- Perform duties related to opening and/or closing the store, including cash and receipt reconciliation, bank deposits, consignor email/phone communications, and securing the store and it’s high-value items.
- Coordinate with leadership on promotions, events, and operational priorities
Qualifications
- A degree in Sales,Marketing, Business or similar field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 5+ years of retail sales experience with luxury products, with at least 3 years of supervising experience preferred
- Luxury resale experience strongly preferred
- Strong fashion knowledge and understanding of luxury/designer brands
- Experience working in high-touch customer service environments
- Familiarity with Liberty software and Shopify strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Comfortable working collaboratively with both staff and volunteers

The Intake Associate works closely with the Customer Experience Manager, Pricing Team, and Store Managers to deliver efficient operations and excellent service.
